teaching and living god's word

Crosby Chapel is a family oriented community church living out the simple mission of spreading the Good News about Jesus Christ and discipling Christians in our community through great kids' programs and bible-centered messages all to God's Glory.

Our Mission

At Crosby Chapel we have a heart for the people of our community. We have a desire to reach out and connect with those who do not have the hope found in Christ. God has placed us in the Seabeck community to demonstrate His love to those around us.

Our mission doesn't end at conversion though. Every believer needs a community where they can be discipled and disciple others. We seek to do just that through faithfully preaching and teaching God's word on Sundays and by encouraging one another through numerous youth and adult programs offered throughout the week.

What We Believe

† The Bible

We believe, in the original manuscripts, both the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired by God, inerrant and infallible, and that they are our only and final authority for what we are to believe and for the way we are to live.

† God

We believe in one God. This one God is three persons: the Father, His Son — the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. They are equal in deity, but they are different persons. All three are eternal, unchanging, and worthy of our faith, love, and service.

† Creation

We believe man was created in God's image. Man was created sinless, but due to Adam’s disobedience, the whole human race fell under divine judgment.

† Sin

We believe that men are born with a sin nature, alienated from God. Adam's original sin was provoked by Satan, a living being; a fallen angel. Satan continues to tempt us to sin and leads demons in opposition to all that has to do with God, His purposes, and His people.

† Salvation

We believe that God continued to love man in spite of our sin and rebellion. Because of this love, God provided for our salvation. Salvation is provided for us by God's grace, through faith alone in Christ, utterly apart from any merit or work men might do. The Holy Spirit convicts us of our need of Christ before we can be saved and indwells every child of God from the moment he is saved.

† His Glory

We believe every believer in Christ should live for the glory of God. We must be obedient to His word and prayer should have a vital part in our lives. The Lord has commissioned us to reach every person in the world with the gospel of Christ.
